Xceligent CDX 6.0

PROJECT BRIEF:
Xceligent is the national leader in online commercial real estate applications. They had recently been surpassed by a competitor that was spending heavily on advertising. Xceligent had been "feature killing" their application and had to spend days training new clients how to broswe the thousands of fields contained in the tool. Xceligent wanted v6 to be an inbetween fix for a purely server driven v7.

SOLUTION:
Armed with extensive research, I did a usability audit of the tool. I removed the ability for custom skins, and used better groupings and naming conventions that new users would understand. Multiple levels of interface elements were created, simplifing the universal global navigation that gave users to many choices. I also added sophisticated color schemes to the application so users could work with a more pleasurable interface than the bland Microsoft GUI.

CDX6 was an enormous success and Xceligent decided the design solution was strong enough that it negated the need to completly redesign the backend for a v7 saving the company millions in development costs. Access must be purchased.
