PROJECT BRIEF:
Analyze current dynamic information graphics on how stocks orders flow through the trading process. Design and program an application that creates better process understanding and reflects the branding of Knight's new collateral and web site.
SOLUTION:
Existing process infographics were confusing due to either overuse of programming/animation, or, lack of clear user-centric design. Some were simply Visio documents with a DHTML layer adn indicating now process. Others were Flash files that relied on an animator or programmer making "cool" effects with little attention to information design. I developed a process chart based on research, created a clear application wireframe, and then built a detailed content map (application blueprint). This allowed the application to be skinned without affecting the understanding of the process.
