Chaos Snowboards
PROJECT BRIEF: Rebrand Chaos Snowboards. Design identity, collateral, snowboard lines, catalogs, website/cd-rom, standards manual, video pacakaging, cd packaging, etc.
PROJECT BRIEF: A broad marketing theme of leaving the "chaos of the city" for the mountains drove the design. The target audience was male/18 so a experimental and playful approach was developed. Lamposts were stickerbombed, urban ad space was subverted and remixed, and complex visual narratives were created. The standards manual, however, had strict rules for investor relations collateral as that market needed clearity over cleverness.
The "Blunt Force Trauma" snowboard design was accpeted in a design competition and displayed in a gallery in Atlanta.
