Motorola 2000 Annual Report VIEW PROJECT
PROJECT BRIEF: Working with Boller Coates & Neu, design and develop the Annual Report around the new marketing theme "Intelligence Everywhere". Design the following:
- website with an interactive editorial narrative
- Information Architecture
- Infomration Architecture, blueprints, content for WAP version
SOLUTION: I developed a dynamic editorial component that worked for all users (low bandwidth and non-flash). We focused on simple animations of typographic elements (which also masked preloads). Verbal communication is the essential representation of the theme. I used motion design with letters and words utilizing elegant programmatic movement as a representation of intelligence. Working with a musician in developing electronica, we also delivered the energy they wanted portrayed.
The WAP version was the first Annual Report to be delivered to a wireless portable device.
