Hallmark Recruiting Site
DOWNLOAD INFO ARCHITECTURE (pdf)

PROJECT BRIEF:
Design and concept a new Hallmark careers site that better expresses the corporate culture at the company. Develop interactive features that showcase the artistic community internally and externally in Kansas City. Work within the limitations of IBM's WebSphere templates.

SOLUTION:
I was given freedom to research and concept ways to help Hallmark better tell it's story. I did site/content audits of several companies, including, General Mills and Proctor and Gamble. I then developed a comprehensive IA and storyboards for narratives.

The site is designed with 3 types of personas I identified. I focused on telling the Hallmark story in the feature area... reflecting both the artistic culture and business community. Hallmark and Kansas City have a unique cultures, and I found a way to express it with interactive narratives. A key insight was architecting information and jobs in a way that was intuitive for users, and not a direct representation of Hallmark's employee organizational structure.

Also, a key component with creating a college recruiting area that could be easily accessed and updated within the severe limitation of IBM's WebSphere environment. I proposed a Flash CMS system that could circumvent these shortcomings.

This site was not fully realised before accepting an offer to work on Microsoft projects.
