PROJECT BRIEF:
Create the visual identity for the 2000 Elections. Design web sites, information graphics, timelines, and features for the entire online experience.

SOLUTION:
Working under quick deadlines with minimal team resources, I developed the online experience for CNN users around the 2000 elections. There were multiple convention sites that interacted with onair content, dynamic infographics and timelines, and complex information ecologies that I developed for the tagging and tracking of poll results. I did a full visual and content audit of the past election cycle to understand and improve the user experience as I had no formal HCI training. This was my first data-rich project. Pictured are just a few screens of the multiple projects distributed across an 8 month period throughout the CNN site.

One of the most exciting projects, the CNN Veepstakes, was a virtual competition where CNN users would vote on VP nominees in a competitive format over several months. I modeled it after "The Final 4" information graphics, and built in a compelling interactive format. Sadly, thi project is no longer online, and my archives were corrupted.
